  • August 2017 - Garden and Master Gardener Events

    4 - Rice Expo, Stuttgart, AR.  The half-day Arkansas Rice Expo opens at 8 a.m. at the Grand Prairie Center in Stuttgart at 807 US 165, next to Phillips Community College. Admission is free and be sure to stick around for lunch, catered by Yoder Ruritan.  Tours begin at 8:45 a.m. Gardening - 9 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. - Salons A & B Janet Carson and Sherri Sanders, speakers.  Link to Rice Expo details

    18 - Registration deadline for Advanced MG Class "Master Gardeners Grow Healthy Communities" hosted by Miller County Red Dirt Master Gardener Program. (for MGs in the program three years or longer)

    18 - Annuals to Perennials (for first year MGs and their mentors -If you finished your classroom training or served as a mentor between June 1, 2016 and August 17, 2017, please plan to join us at one of these locations.) Fayetteville, AR, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 

    19 - Annuals to Perennials (for first year MGs and their mentors -If you finished your classroom training or served as a mentor between June 1, 2016 and August 17, 2017, please plan to join us at one of these locations.), Batesville, AR, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

    2 - First Saturday at the Learning Fields - Fort Smith, AR

    9 - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Seminar, Angel's Way Baptist Church, 801 Angel's Way, Marion, AR. Presented by Crittenden County MG Program, cost: by Aug. 15 - $20.00; after Aug. 15 - $25.00.
