LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas entrepreneurs looking to grow their businesses through government contracts are invited to join an open house in Little Rock on Sept. 18 to mark National PTAC Day.

PTACs, or Procurement Technical Assistance Centers, help small businesses grow by helping them understand the processes used to obtain government contracts.

“Arkansas PTAC has helped natural state businesses obtain millions of dollars in contracts,” said Melanie Berman, Arkansas PTAC director. “Since 2001, we’ve helped more than 7,100 Arkansas businesses obtain more than $1.3 billion in government contract work.”

The open house is being held at the Cooperative Extension Service headquarters at 2301 S. University Ave. in Little Rock. National PTAC Day events include a free webinar at 1 p.m. (CST) with experts who will share their top tips for:

  • Getting ready to enter the government marketplace
  • Finding government contracts
  • Bidding on government contracts

Use this link to register for the webinar: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_gx4XISPeQA2VlLtn1tkkrA. Join the webinar at the Little Rock open house, or from your office.

Those attending the open house are invited to meet with Arkansas PTAC counselors immediately after the webinar.

There are 95 PTACs across the country and are the only dedicated source of free, expert assistance on the full range of local, state and federal government contracting issues. PTAC services in Arkansas are delivered through the Cooperative Extension Service and funded through the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency. The Cooperative Extension Service is part of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture.
