LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas 4-H alumni, it’s time to raise your hand. If you do, it could mean up to $20,000 to the organization of your youth.

4-H RYH2

Through June 30, the 4-H program nationwide is looking for alumni to raise their hands and be counted through social media and the campaign website: 4‑H.org/RaiseYourHand.

The state with the most alumni raising their hand will earn $20,000. The second-place state will earn $10,000 and third place earns $5,000.

“Studies have shown the influence of the 4-H Youth Development program doesn’t end at age 19 – it continues throughout life,” said Martha Ray Sartor, associate director for the Cooperative Extension Service who oversees the 4-H program for the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture.

“No one knows this better than you, our alumni, who have experienced our programs firsthand,” she said. “We need your help to bring the same experience and skills to youth today. Show your 4‑H pride and help bring the same opportunities to kids in your community and nationwide.

“If you know an alumnus, encourage them to raise their hand and be counted!” Sartor said.
