Wheat Research Verification Program (WRVP)
The Wheat Research Verification Program started in 1986 and the Arkansas Wheat Promotion
Board helps fund the program through a wheat checkoff program.
2014-2015 was the 28th year for the program. Through that 28 years, 284 wheat fields
have been enrolled in the program. The five year (2011-2015) average yield for the
wheat verification fields is 68 bushels per acre. The state average for that same
5 year period is 59 bushels per acre.
Anyone interested in enrolling in the program should contact their local County Extension
Agent. Visit our county offices section for local information.
