Enjoy a patriotic blackberry cobbler this fourth of July with one of these delicious recipes!
Easy, Classic Southern Blackberry CobblerIngredients: 1 stick butter 1 cup self-rising flour 1 pint blackberries (unsweetened, 1 cup sweet milk (not skim, or buttermilk) 1 cup sugar
Optional: May add a 1/4 of a cup of sugar to berries and let them set for about one-half hour before adding to batter)
Directions
Your cobbler must be golden brown to be done! |

Old-Fashioned Blackberry CobblerIngredients 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder 2 Tbsp. sugar ½ tsp. salt 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter 3/4 cup milk (more or less if needed) Filling: 5 cups blackberries 3 cups sugar 3 cups water 1 Tbsp. butter 1 small box blackberry Jell-O 1 tsp. lemon juice

Dough:
Lightly flour surface and using rolling pin and roll dough to 3/4 inch thick.
