Employees of the Cooperative Extension Service are asked not to serve as collecting agents for any type of group, accept the deposit of funds for any purpose, handle purchasing arrangements for an individual or group, or serve as treasurers of any organization, where such action is taken by virtue of the employee's position or could be construed as their acting for the Cooperative Extension Service. Should an employee, as a private citizen, serve as an officer of an organization not related to Extension, any work for the organization should not be done on office time, in the office, or at office expense.
