Date Revised: 8-6-2013
Summary: Establishes a procedure for employees who fail to report to work.
An employee's failure to report to work for three (3) consecutive workdays, without first obtaining approval for authorized leave, may be considered by Cooperative Extension Service as abandonment of the employee's position and his/her voluntary resignation.
After consultation with administration, the supervisor will prepare a certified letter to be sent to the employee's home announcing the termination of employment as a result of job abandonment.
An employee whose employment has been terminated as a result of job abandonment shall not be eligible for reemployment within any of the University of Arkansas System’s campuses, units, or divisions.
