CESP 1-18: Employment Verification

Summary: Establishes policy concerning response to inquiries for employment verifications.
Any request for an employment verification must be forwarded to the Human Resources Office. Under no circumstances should a supervisor assume the risk of releasing employment information about a current or former employee.
The Human Resources Office will respond to all inquiries for employment verification with confirmation of the following information only:
- Confirmation of employment
- Dates of employment
- Title of employee’s most recent position
