Howard County 4-H Community Service a Success!

Katilynn with eyeglasses

Nashville, Ark. – The Howard County 4-H Clubs are very active in our community! Just as school is kicking off, 4-H is gearing up, too! Katilynn H., a member of the Howard County Teen Leaders 4-H Club, headed up a successful community service project by collecting 73 pairs of used eyeglasses. The eyeglasses were donated to Lions Club International in conjunction with the National Association of County Agriculture Agents Conference, recently held in Little Rock. Congratulations to Katilynn and other 4-H members for donating the most eyeglasses!

Currently Howard County has 9 very active 4-H clubs: Nature Seekers, Sharp Shooters, Show-n-Shine, Teen Leaders, Show Stoppers, Super 4-H’ers, Sew Much Fun, Food Explorers, and the STEM Club. If you would like to learn more about 4-H and all it has to offer, please call the Howard County Extension office at 870-845-7517. The Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service is an equal opportunity/equal access/affirmative action institution.
