APAC Program Manager Updates
Happy spring to our bright, successful Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center (APAC) clients. We hope the current fiscal year is treating you well and you are busy plugging away with your government contracts. I wanted to take this time to share with you some upcoming opportunities for Arkansas Small Business from our resources partners.
The Small Business Administration is currently recruiting for the 2018 Arkansas Emerging Leaders Class. Registration closes March 29th for the 2018 class. Sessions will run April 19 – October 25, meeting every two weeks at the Little Rock Venture Center. The Emerging Leaders Initiative advanced training series is open to small business owners and executives that have annual revenues of at least $400,000, have been in business at least three years and have at least one other employee, other than self.
Emerging Leaders is a FREE executive level training program that provides tools and resources to help underserved small companies to sustain and grow. Are you in the Aerospace industry or interested in getting connected with defense contractors here in Arkansas? The Arkansas Aerospace & Defense Alliance is hosting their annual conference in Hot Springs, March 27-29.
The Arkansas Aerospace & Defense Alliance is a group of public and private aerospace companies, government agencies and educational institutions. They are dedicated to growing the aerospace, aviation and defense infrastructure in Arkansas and training a qualified workforce. Mary Love and I will have a display table set up throughout the summit and Mary will speak as part of the March 29 morning Breakout Session titled, “Capitalizing on Defense and Government Contracting.” There is a cost to attend the event.
