The Best Value in Leadership Development

by Noah Washburn - October 4, 2017

Not only is LeadAR Arkansas’ most intensive leadership development program, it is perhaps the best value for your money. LeadAR is a two-year program designed to educate emerging leaders on public issues and develop their expertise in addressing critical problems facing Arkansas. Participants will engage in 42 days of face-to-face experiential learning at a tuition cost of only $3,000 per person.

LeadAR participants receive invaluable training from leading experts across the state, nation and world. Graduates from the last LeadAR class learned from directly 29 university faculty, 41 industry representatives, 19 state and federal officials and others. For $71.43 per person per day of LeadAR, participants interacted with diverse instructors who shared their expertise and provided hands-on learning opportunities.

LeadAR offers face-to-face seminars across the state, national and international study tour experiences, and individual leadership/community service projects. Participants benefit from the latest leadership development research, online classrooms, personal growth assessments, video conferencing, and mentoring from a network of over 460 LeadAR alumni.

The program provides lodging, meals, educational materials for all program elements, as well as transportation for the study tours. There are very few out-of-pocket expenses, which makes LeadAR a very cost-effective way to increase your leadership skills to achieve expertise.

The deadline to apply is Oct. 15, 2017. Find the application, program guidelines, and application “help sheet” at

LeadAR is a program of the Community and Economic Development Unit at the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service. For more information about joining Class 18, contact Noah Washburn at or go to
