One of the highlights of the Galaxy Conference is the annual silent auction! Participate by donating an item today.

Our friends at the CA Vines Center have a warm welcome for 2017 conference attendees.  Lodging will be $70/room/night and should be scheduled directly with the C.A. Vines Center at (501) 821-4444.

BONUS for attendees in 2017!

Join fellow Galaxy participants in a fun team building pre-conference workshop on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 with the ExCEL program at no extra cost!  ExCEL is Extension’s 4-H leadership and team development program for ages 13 and up.  Participants will engage in team building initiatives and the high ropes course in this full day workshop.  By working together to solve problems, participants will learn communication skills and build trust throughout the day.  Participants will also discover how ExCEL can be utilized for their next youth retreat, teen leadership program, or adult leadership at the 4-H Center.  So, whether you’ve done ExCEL before or not, this will be a day to remember.  We hope to see you there!

  • Full day of ExCEL programming, including the high ropes course (will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end around 4:00 p.m.)
  • Pizza lunch

Participants will be responsible for making their own lodging arrangements with the 4-H Center.  Participants will be on their own for Tuesday meals other than the pizza lunch.

What is the Arkansas Galaxy Conference?

The Arkansas Galaxy Conference is an annual professional development activity for Extension employees. The conference is a joint effort between the Arkansas Association of Cooperative Extension Specialists (AACES), the Arkansas Association of Extension 4-H Agents (AAE4-HA), Epsilon Sigma Phi (ESP) and the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences - Arkansas Affiliate (NEAFCS-AR). You do not have to be a member of these professional associations to attend the Arkansas Galaxy Conference.

The conference features professional improvement seminars, presentations and posters from your Extension peers and awards recognition and presentation. The Arkansas Galaxy Conference is a great opportunity to network with your Extension peers from across the state and all four of Extension's program areas

Our goal is for all attendees to leave Arkansas Galaxy Conference with an expanded network, new ideas and renewed energy.
