How Extension Impacts Arkansas

Most Arkansans aren't aware of how much Extension is supporting them and making a positive impact in their daily lives.

Many are aware of the services Extension provides to the agriculture community in Arkansas, but we also provide expertise and recommendations in other sectors such as nutrition, youth development, and economic development.

In all 75 counties in Arkansas, we have agents, volunteers, and resources to help you improve your quality of life.

County Demonstrations Bring Research Home

Demonstrations are the heart of our outreach – working with producers and the public under real-world conditions. These demos are the proving ground for land grant research and an engine for increased productivity.

An example of a large scale demonstration can be found at our Discovery Farms located in several Arkansas counties where ongoing research and demonstration of best practices are conducted via cooperation with local producers.
