The Extension Family and Consumer Sciences and 4-H Youth Development Departments are an integral part of the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture. The two departments are a vital link connecting the resources of the university to citizens in all 75 counties across the Natural State. Strong families, youth, and communities are important to a prosperous and productive society.
The Family and Consumer Sciences and 4-H Youth Development faculty work with Extension agents, program assistants and volunteers to address important issues facing Arkansans. The Family and Consumer Sciences and 4-H Youth Development Departments provide statewide leadership for programs addressing critical issues related to families, youth and communities. Our programs are science-based, relevant and add public value.
