Arkansas 4-H Leadership Opportunities

There are a number of activities in which a 4-H'er can showcase their knowledge, develop a broader understanding and a experience a deeper involvement in leadership and citizenship.

  • 4-H Ambassador Program

    Ambassador Program Overview

    Arkansas 4-H Ambassadors assist with 4-H promotion at the state and county level, promoting Arkansas 4-H at every opportunity. Ambassadors assist with statewide 4-H programs such as the Teen Leader Conference, serve as banquet or workshop speakers, and represent 4-H at various activities such as fairs, donor events, awards programs, community and state organizations' annual meetings.

  • 4-H Governor's Award

    Arkansas 4-H Governor's Award

    The Arkansas 4-H Governor's Award was instituted in 1983 and was designed to recognize one outstanding Arkansas 4-H member each year. This award is available only to current or former state 4-H Record Book winners.

    Arkansas 4-H Hall of Fame Information

    The Arkansas 4-H Hall of Fame originated to recognize truly outstanding 4-H Teen Stars who have achieved at the highest level and who have contributed to making Arkansas 4-H a dynamic and well-known organization.

  • 4-H State Officer Program


    State 4-H officers are selected by their peers and are required to hold a very busy schedule. A total of seven state 4-H officers are elected -  three district vice presidents, a president, First Vice-President, Secretary, and Reporter. The vice-presidents are elected during their respecitve district O-Ramas by popular vote, and the other 4 officers are elected during state 4-H O-Rama by delegate vote.

  • 4-H Teen Leader Conference

    Teen Leader Conference

    The Arkansas Teen Leader Conference is a three-day conference for 4-H members ages 14–19. Each year the conference focuses on a specific topic and helps to prepare teens for leadership responsibilities in their local clubs and counties. TLC is traditionally held in June at the C.A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center.

  • 4-H Teen Star Program

    Teen Star Information

    The Arkansas 4-H Teen Star Program is a recognition program for outstanding achievement in the areas of 4-H projects and activities, leadership, and community service. Statewide 4-H scholarships are a part of the Arkansas 4-H Teen Stars Program. Each year Teen Stars who are graduating high school seniors will be eligible to apply for the $1,000 Zack O. and Jennie D. Jennings scholarship. The scholarships are awarded at the Arkansas 4-H O-Rama.
