Arkansas 4-H Camps for 9-12 Year Olds
We offer camps with a wide range of learning opportunities. From high adventure to
robotics to cake decorating, our 4-H camping program has it all.
Registration will open approximately 1 month prior to registration deadline. All
camps are held at the AR 4-H Center unless otherwise noted.
Parents/Volunteers are welcome to attend most of our camps (unless noted as youth
only) for the same fee as the youth. Parents/Volunteers wanting to attend camp will
need to complete the volunteer leader screening process. This usually takes several
weeks to be processed so please start the process early. Contact your county agent
on how to begin.
SCHOLARSHIPS for youth are available. Scholarships will be awarded based on need and funding
availability. Applications are available NOW. Application deadline for events with a registration deadline of March 1 or sooner
is January 3 @ noon. Applications for all other events are due by March 1 @ noon.
The application for both deadlines is the same so no need to apply twice.
Entrepreneur Camp
Dates: January 25-27, 2019
Age: 9-13
Registration Deadline: January 4
Registration Fee: $165
Are you thinking about starting a business but don't know how to begin? This is the
camp for you. Come learn about things to consider, hear from a variety of entrepreurs
about their experiences, and experiment by starting a business at camp.
Junior Camp

Theme: Survivor
Join 4-H members from around the state in this 3-day camp. This years camp will be
all about Survivor.
Summer Equine Camp (youth only)
Working on Horsemanship Skills
Dates: May 28-31, 2019
Ages: 12-18
Registration Deadline: May 6, 2019
Registration Fee: $395
Looking for an opportunity to learn new things with and about your horse? You
will have the opportunity at the 2019 Summer Equine Camp. You and other youth will
work with State Equine Specialist, Mark Russell and other industry professionals. This years camp will focus on SPEED EVENTS,
but you will learn new techniques and become more in tune with your horse. You will
improve your overall horsemanship skills. You will need some riding experience and
your own horse.
BEGINNER Equine Camp (NEW)
Dates: May 28-31, 2019
Ages: 9-12
Registration Deadline: May 6, 2019
Youth Registration Fee: $395
Adult Registration Fee: $295
This camp is geared toward beginner riders/horse owners. Horses and Equiment will
be provided. You will receive a general overview on how to care for and ride a horse.
The ages for this camp are flexible. If your youth is over 12 and interested in attending
please let me know. Adults wanting to attend with your camper you will be participating
in a spectator capacity. You will also need to complete the volunteer leader screening
process before attending.
STEM Camp
Dates: July 6-9, 2019
Ages: 9-14
Registration Deadline: June 1, 2019

This is the camp for all you techie kids out there or any want to be techie kids!
Craft Camp (youth only)

Come express your creativity. Our goal is to create quality products that you can
use in your everyday lives, enter in the fair, or use as inspiration to create your
own business. Some crafts that have been completed in the past include: soap, candles,
string art, paint pour, cutting boards, turned wooden pens, and many more.
Forestry and Wildlife Camp
Dates: October 18-20, 2019
Ages: 10-19
Registration Deadline: September 24, 2019
Registration Fee: $165
Do you like the outdoors? This camp focuses on a variety of outdoor skills. You
will learn about things related to forestry and wildlife. You could learn things
from rock climbing to what things you can eat in the wild.
Cake Decorating (Fondant) (youth only)
Dates: November 15-17, 2019
Ages: 9-19
Registration Deadline: September 24, 2019
Registration Fee: $200
Do you like to decorate cakes and want to learn more? Do you wish you knew how to
decorate cakes? Then this is the camp for you. This camp will be focusing on techniques
using Fondant.

The Arkansas Outdoor School is proud to offer the AOS Summer Day Camp for 7-15 year
olds. Each day camp session has be tailored to give campers a chance to get out and
explore, discover and learn about the world around them and have fun in the process.
All camp activities place an emphasis on team work, self esteem, communication and
cooperation.

The Arkansas 4-H Camping Program offers camping and training opportunities for youth 5-19 years old and adults. Our overnight camps take place at the C. A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center 10 miles west of Little Rock. Canoeing, swimming, archery, fishing, rock wall climbing,
high ropes challenge course, and off-site backpacking/canoeing adventures are just
some of the exciting possibilities.

Have you always wanted to be a camp counselor? We offer training and volunteer opportunities for 4-H teens. We also hire college-age camp interns each summer. If you love camp and are too old to be a camper, consider these opportunities

Camps for 13 - 19 year olds
Our ExCEL program offers experiential team building programs ranging from a few hours
to a few days.
Programs are customized for your group's specific needs. We offer ground based team
building initiatives, low ropes course elements, outdoor climbing tower and giants
ladder with team belay, static high ropes course with 23 elements including a 300ft
zip line. Onsite and offsite programs.

AOS can build the right program for your group or class, whether it's a day, overnight
or a multi-day visit. We create a unique opportunity for students to learn in a setting

SEEK is a science enrichment program for home-schooled students in Arkansas. Students
attend classes one day per week for 12 weeks and leave the program with over 60 hours
of lessons and labs. Lessons include dissections, life science, geology, and more!
