Arkansas 4-H Camps for 13-19 year olds

Adventure & Challenge Camp

Registration Fee:  $185

Team up with 4-H teens, from around the state, to conquer challenges and push your limits. Complete our award winning* ExCEL Leadership program, which includes a ropes course. Swimming, campfire and other camp activities also included.  *Arkansas Business Reader's Choice Best Teambuilding.

Registration Deadline:  Approximately 2 weeks prior to the event  (All Registration Forms are OPEN)
Registration Fee:  Session I - $100, Session II - $150, Session III - $150, Session IV - $225
Ages:  All ages, under 13 must attend with an adult, over 13 must be able to saddle/care for own horse


If you like to trail ride this is the camp for you.  Session I will begin with trail riding basics and progress to Session IV which concludes with an overnight pack in session.  Locations vary.  Must bring your own horse/gear.

If you are interested in attending the 2019 High Adventure out of state trip you must attend at least 3 of the training sessions.  One of the sessions must be Session IV.  Those that participated in the 2017 out of state trip will only be required to attend Session IV but are welcome to attend any of the others as well.  Attending sessions meets some of the requirements to attend the out of state trip but does not guarantee it.

Age: 12 to 18

Looking for an opportunity to learn new things with and about your horse?  You will have the opportunity at the 2018 Equine Camp.  You and other youth will work with State Equine Specialist, Mark Russell and other industry professionals.  You will learn new techniques and become more in tune with your horse.  You will improve your overall horsemanship skills.  You will need some riding experience and your own horse.  This year we will be focusing each session on different areas.  The spring session will focus on speed events while the summer session will focus on performance/ranch classes.

Do you like the outdoors?  This camp focuses on a variety of outdoor skills.  You will learn about things related to forestry and wildlife.  You could learn things from rock climbing to what things you can eat in the wild.

High Adventure - Minnesota (Backpacking, canoeing)

Age: 13 to 19 (13 by Jan. 1 2017)

Day Camp

The Arkansas Outdoor School is proud to offer the AOS Summer Day Camp for 7-15 year olds.  Each day camp session has be tailored to give campers a chance to get out and explore, discover and learn about the world around them and have fun in the process. All camp activities place an emphasis on team work, self esteem, communication and cooperation.

4-H Overnight Camps

The Arkansas 4-H Camping Program offers camping and training opportunities for youth 5-19 years old and adults. Our overnight camps take place at the C. A. Vines Arkansas 4-H Center 10 miles west of Little Rock.  Canoeing, swimming, archery, fishing, rock wall climbing, high ropes challenge course, and off-site backpacking/canoeing adventures are just some of the exciting possibilities.

Our ExCEL program offers experiential team building programs ranging from a few hours to a few days.
Programs are customized for your group's specific needs. We offer ground based team building initiatives, low ropes course elements, outdoor climbing tower and giants ladder with team belay, static high ropes course with 23 elements including a 300ft zip line. Onsite and offsite programs.

Arkansas Outdoor School

Come to the Arkansas Outdoor School - a day of learning your students will never forget!  We offer experiential learning in a natural setting.

AOS can build the right program for your group or class, whether it's a day, overnight or a multi-day visit.  We create a unique opportunity for students to learn in a setting away from the traditional classroom.

SEEK is a science enrichment program for home-schooled students in Arkansas.  Students attend classes one day per week for 12 weeks and leave the program with over 60 hours of lessons and labs.  Lessons include dissections, life science, geology, and more!
