AETN Recipes - Crockpot Dressing
1 - 8 inch pan cornbread
8 slices day old bread
4 raw eggs
1 medium onion chopped
1 tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
2 cans cream of chicken soup
¼ cup chopped celery
1 ½ tbsp. sage or poultry seasoning
2 cans chicken broth
2 tbsp. margarine
Break up breads, mix everything together except margarine. Pour into crock
pot and dot with margarine. Cover and cook on high for 45 minutes; then on
low for 4 to 8 hours until the temperature in the center is 165 degrees
Fahrenheit. Makes 16 servings. Note: Cook 1 chicken and use the broth instead of
using canned broth, and also you may add the chicken to the mixture.
USDA recommends that dressing reach 165 degrees in the center. The crock-pot
dressing should be packed lightly into the crock-pot and cooked on high for 45
minutes; then on low for 4 to 8 hours until the temperature in the center is 165
degrees Fahrenheit.
