About National Home*A*Syst
Home*A*Syst is a companion project of the Farm Assessment System
(Farm*A*Syst). Farm*A*Syst pioneered the system of self-assessments on which
Home*A*Syst is based. Home*A*Syst and Farm*A*Syst are national programs
supported by the USDA Cooperative Research Education and Extension Service, the
USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA). The national Farm*A*Syst/Home*A*Syst office provides
guidelines and educational support to states. Each state and territory has a
primary contact for the development and implementation of
Farm*A*Syst/Home*A*Syst programs.
