Amanda B., 14 years old, has been an active member of both the Washington County Livestock and Viney Grove 4-H clubs for 9 years. She has held the offices of secretary, treasurer, reporter, photographer and recreation leader in these clubs as well as county offices of photographer, recreation leader and treasurer. She has served on and participated in Share the Fun, Fashion Revue, Poultry BBQ, Breads and Dairy, Activity Day, Demo Day, Arbor Day, Arkansas 4-H Centennial and Survivor Camp committees and activities. She has also participated in the County, State and District livestock shows. Amanda rates sewing, canning, foods and nutrition, swine, sheep and beef among her favorite 4-H projects. She says, "The leadership role that has meant the most to me is conducting the Share the Fun and Fashion Revue as a County Council officer. I feel like I can really be an asset to the county 4-H program and help get each

4-H'er participating motivated to do their best and have a good experience." Other organizations and activities she participates in outside of 4-H include Educational Talent Search, National Junior Honor Society, and Gifted and Talented at school. She is also a part of the American Junior Hereford Association, the Arkansas Sheep Council, the National Jr. Hereford Association, the Arkansas Jr. Cattlemen's Association, the National Jr. Swine Association and the Arkansas Jr. Hereford Association. Amanda would like to be an officer "so I can continue to take on a higher leadership role and be a good role model for younger 4-H'ers. There isn't anything I love more than helping younger 4-H'ers with their projects. It puts a smile on my face and warms my heart to see a 4-H'er succeed!"

Justin B., 17 years old, has been an active member of both the Washington County Livestock and Viney Grove 4-H clubs for 13 years. He has held the offices of president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, reporter, photographer and recreation leader of Viney Grove. Justin has held the offices of president, vice president, reporter and photographer in both County Council and Teen Leaders and president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, reporter and photographer in the Livestock Club. Justin participated in Activity Day, Arbor Day, Poultry BBQ, Breads and Dairy, Demo Day, Arkansas 4-H Centennial, Survivor Camp and County Fair committee activities. He also attended the County Teen Leader Exchange Trip. He also held leadership roles in the following committees: Activity Day, Arbor Day, Poultry BBQ, Breads and Dairy, Demo Day, Survivor Camp, Arkansas 4-H Centennial, Club Scrapbook and Club Educational Booth. Justin's favorite 4-H projects are beef, swine and sheep. Justin says, "Being selected as a delegate to National 4-H Conference in Washington, D.C., has been my most rewarding 4-H experience. Being able to interact with 4-H'ers from other states and work toward developing goals for 4-H in the future were some of the highlights." Besides 4-H, Justin participated in the Educational Talent Search, FFA, National Honor Society, National Junior Hereford Association, Arkansas Jr. Hereford Association, Arkansas State Sheep Council, Arkansas Jr. Cattlemen's Association board member, National Jr. Swine Association and FFA Chapter treasurer. Justin says, "The thing I enjoy most about 4-H is helping other members and getting others involved in all the 4-H activities and events that are available. I enjoy helping the younger 4-H'ers learn and achieve. Motivating older 4-H'ers to stay involved is a role that I feel is important for me to fulfill as an officer."

Autumn G., 10 years old, has been an active member of Viney Grove 4-H Club for 5 years where she has held the offices of photographer, recreation leader and reporter. Autumn participated in Farm Friends, Devil's Den Hike, Fashion Revue, Activity Day and Spring Show. Her favorite 4-H projects are sheep and hogs. The leadership role that Autumn enjoyed the most was helping with Arbor Day because "we were helping nature." Besides 4-H, Autumn is involved in basketball, Children's Church and the Farmington Gifted and Talented Program. Autumn says, "I would like to be a County Council officer because I want to help others and I love to take pictures."

Tandy K., 14 years old, has been an active member of the Cane Hill 4-H Club for 7 years. He has held the offices of president, photographer, treasurer, reporter and corresponding secretary. Tandy's 4-H activities include Activity Day, Breads and Dairy, Survivor Camp, Canning Workshop, Spring Show, Fair, Farm Friends and Journal. He held leadership roles as Cane Hill Float chairman, Education Booth chairman, Apple Fest Float committee, Cemetery Clean-up committee, Roadside Park Planting committee and Adopt a Highway committee. Tandy's favorite 4-H projects are Beef and Community Service. The activity that has meant the most to Tandy is cleaning up Crawford Cemetery "because I know we are helping people do something they are not able to do anymore. It means a lot to them." Besides 4-H, Tandy has participated in Swat Team, PeeWee Basketball, Junior High Basketball, 7th Grade Basketball, Royal Ambassador, Student Council, Calvary Baptist, AJSA, AJCA and Boy Scouts. Tandy says "I really enjoy 4-H and I want to help other kids enjoy and participate in 4-H."

Shelby L., 14 years old, has been an active member of the Viney Grove 4-H Club for 9 years. She has served as secretary, treasurer, photographer, historian and recreation leader for this club and as treasurer of the County Council. Shelby's activities include Banquet, Breads and BBQ, Arbor Day, Demonstration Day, Share the Fun and Survivor Camp. She held leadership roles in Banquet, Arbor Day, Share the Fun, Demonstration Day, Breads and BBQ and Survivor Camp. Her favorite 4-H projects are Sheep, Arts and Humanities, Goats and Canning. Shelby says, "The activity I enjoyed the most was donating toys to the pediatric unit at Washington Regional. It made me feel happy that the patients have fun things to play with rather than sitting in bed and watching TV all day." Activities outside of 4-H that Shelby is involved in are: American Meat Goat Association, Arkansas Meat Goat Association, Clogging, Softball, Track, Cheerleading, Arkansas Bred Lambs and Washington County Bred Lambs. She says, "Why I would like to be an officer is I have been so involved in 4-H. I have been to every committee meeting and participated in many projects. I also love working with kids and work with others because it makes my "leadership meter" rise up higher and higher. Being the County Council treasurer was the greatest thing ever! It really helped my leadership. I would like to be an officer because I have great determination and am very motivating, not to forget I love helping other people."

Cheyenne M., 15 years old, has been an active member of the Cane Hill Clovers for 10 years. She has held every office in her local club except president. She was vice president of County Council this year. Cheyenne participated in every activity Washington County provides except the BBQ contest. She served on all planning committees this past year for County Council, and at her club she served on the Welcoming, Banquet, Clean-up, Set up and Food Booth committees just to name a few. Cheyenne's favorite 4-H projects are Beef Cattle, Sewing and Cooking. She says, "The 4-H activity that has meant the most to me was a community service project. My club cleaned up an old cemetery that needed a lot of TLC. The man, who we cleaned it up for, was so happy and you could really tell it was a big load off of his shoulders." Other activities other than 4-H that Cheyenne is involved in are: Prairie Grove FFA, where she has participated in almost every activity her chapter does, Opening/Closing Ceremonies Team, Livestock Judging Team, and she was Star Greenhand. Cheyenne says "I would like to be an officer because it is such a huge honor. Not only have I got to work with 4-H'ers and 4-H parents throughout the county, but I also have had the opportunity to get to know and work with the Extension staff in the office. Planning county events has been, what I think, a very fun responsibility. I would love to have this opportunity again."

Will P., 13 years old, has been an active member of the Prairie Grove 4-H for 8 years. He has served as president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, secretary/treasurer, reporter, photographer and recreation leader in this club as well as treasurer and reporter for the County Council. He has participated in all 4-H activities except Fashion Revue and Share the Fun. Will has taken leadership roles in Achievement Banquet, Arbor Day, Demo Day, Breads and Dairy, Survivor Camp, Hay and Weed Board, Education Booth, Adopt A Family, Christmas for Medi-Home, Fundraising and Annual Award Banquet. His favorite 4-H projects are Beef – both raising purebred seed stock and market steers – and Public Speaking. Will says, "I have been involved in raising money for our club to be able to adopt 3 families from the 3 local school districts (Lincoln, Prairie Grove and Farmington). We were able to provide approximately $150 per family, and 3 kids were able to receive their first bicycles. In all, 6 children had a Christmas who otherwise would have had nothing." Besides 4-H, Will participates in Quiz Bowl, Science Bowl, basketball, band and National Jr. Honor Society at school and Confirmation Bells, Sunday School Choir, numerous Christmas programs and soloist at church as well as baseball. Will says, "I have been in Washington County 4-H since I was 5 years old. I have always admired the County Council officers. They were great role models, always willing to help others and conducted themselves in a manner that I wanted to imitate. I have served the county 4-H'ers for the last two years as a County Council officer. I have enjoyed serving and would love to continue serving Washington County. I enjoy helping others and try to always have the time to step up and help or even answer a question or two. Again, I am thankful for being allowed to serve over the last two years and would like to continue serving Washington County 4-H'ers."
