About Us
County Impact Statements - Van Buren County
Each year since 1998, we have developed educational programs to
address the major issues and concerns identified by local clientele.
Annually, the County Extension Council and county Extension staff have
reviewed our accomplishments and, if needed, made revisions to the plan to
address new challenges. It is our hope that these programs and services have
resulted in improved economic opportunities and quality of life for our county’s
residents.
The county Extension program involves people in many ways: as program
participants, volunteer leaders, committee members, resource people, financial
supporters and advocates. We encourage you to become familiar with our programs
and become involved. We welcome your comments and suggestions in order to plan
programs that will meet the needs of our county. Please feel free to visit your
county Extension office to see how we can work together for a better county
program.
It is with pleasure that we submit to you our program accomplishments for the
year and plans for upcoming programs.
Many individuals from within Van Buren County serve on committees and work
with the Van Buren County Extension Council and the Van Buren County Cooperative
Extension Service, University of Arkansas, to develop a plan of work that
addresses priority issues and needs of county residents.
Enclosed is a report on several impact programs that were conducted by the
Van Buren County Extension Service staff. These programs are the results of many
hours of planning and implementation by the County Extension Council and County
Extension Service staff. Residents throughout the County volunteer to help
conduct and assist with many programs, which contributes to program success.
You are encouraged to review this report and learn more about the programs
and services offered by the County Cooperative Extension Service. You may also
contact us with input for future program planning.
