Camping Trip 2003

Camping trip 2003 found us up on the Buffalo River near Pruitt.  The Buffalo River travels 150 miles through nearly unspoiled wilderness before its confluence with the White River.  It has cut its way through massive limestone bluffs as it flows eastward through the Arkansas Ozarks.  Our float trip only traversed 10 miles of its path, but it was a memorable voyage for those that chose to take the challenge.  The fishing was tough on the river, but the camaraderie and adventure made up for the lack of eager smallmouths.  Some members from Arkansas Tech also joined us for the trip and enlightened us with the fine art of cliff-jumping on the Buffalo - I wouldn't try this one at home!
