2006 White Bass Tournament
This years tournament, held on
March 25, did not see as many fish caught as last years, but it was a
big success none the less. Brent Southworth successfully defended
his title as White Bass Champ by winning the prizes for both Biggest
White Bass Creel (7 lbs., 6 oz.) and Biggest White Bass (2
lbs., 14 oz.) for the second
consecutive year. It was a tightly contested match at that as
Chris Racey's five fish stringer was only two ounces short of
Brent's stringer. Dr. Wes Neal won the trophy for Biggest
Non-White Bass with a yellow bass. The
tournament was then followed by the traditional club fish fry and door
prize rafle.
