St. Francis County
Family and Consumer Science
Families are important to the University of
Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service. Here you will find many
educational opportunities dedicated to Diet, Health, and Nutrition;
Children, Youth, and Families; Individual and Family Resource
Management; and Volunteer and Leadership Development (these are our
4 focus areas).
Focus areas are targeted programs directed
toward the specific educational needs of Arkansans, identified
through research or surveys in the areas of agriculture, families,
youth and communities. Please feel free to give us a call and learn
more about our programs, such as how to get the most for your money,
eat well and stay healthy, raise caring and responsible children,
and how to have strong families and safe communities
Extension Homemakers Clubs are a valuable asset to St. Francis
County. EHC members are very busy in the community, whether it’s
helping with 4-H activities, making walker caddies for nursing home
residents, making throws and caps for cancer patients at AR
Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s, participating and assisting in
the county fair, and lots of other activities.
