About Us
County Impact Statements - St. Francis County
Each year since 1998, we have developed education programs to address the
major issues and concerns identified by local clientele.
In agriculture, our long-term program emphasis is on efficiency in row-crop
production, training in marketing of crops, farm financial management, and farm
safety. Family and Consumer Sciences emphasis programs include financial
management, parenting, healthy lifestyles, food selection and meal planning,
preparation techniques, food shopping, and infant and child nutrition. The
youth/4-H program emphasizes youth agricultural/livestock educational
activities; outdoor skills, such as hunter safety and shooting sports; health
activities including substance abuse prevention, self-esteem and decision
making; consumer science/money management; and nutrition programs that deal with
the food guide pyramid, good eating habits and home management.
We encourage you to become familiar with our programs. We welcome your
