Spiders

Practically all spiders in Arkansas are harmless and for the most part beneficial to man. The only exceptions are the black widow and brown recluse spiders, which are poisonous. Below are pictured the brown recluse (left) and black widow spiders (right).

Spiders can be successfully kept out of the house by secure screening, caulking, etc. For more information about spider control contact your Local County Extension Agent.
