Welcome to 4-H in Saline County.

4-H is one of the educational programs of the Cooperative Extension Service, University of Arkansas, and is open to all youth between the ages of 5 and 19 without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, or disability. The regular 4-H program is for youth ages 9-19 years old, and the Cloverbuds program is open to youth ages 5-8.

Saline County 4H is serving communities of Saline County and the families within it. Contact the Saline County Extension Office (501-303-5672) if you have any questions.

Purpose The purpose of 4-H is the equal training of the head, heart, hands, and health.

What do the four H's represent?
   The equal training of the head, heart, hands and health.
For what is the head trained?
   To think, to plan and to reason.
For what is the heart trained?
   To be kind, true and sympathetic.
For what are the hands trained?
   To be useful, helpful and skillful.
For what is the health trained?
   To resist disease, enjoy life and make for efficiency.
   
Pledge I pledge my head to clearer thinking,
My heart to greater loyalty,
My hands to larger service, and
My health to better living for my club,
My community, My country and My world.
