Agriculture

Information is the most powerful tool we can use in our gardens and landscapes. The Pulaski County Extension Service provides non-biased, research based information. Program Assistants - Ann Ward and Tom Mertens, Beth Phelps - County Extension Agent and Master Gardener Volunteers can answer your questions or help you solve your horticulture problems when you call or come in the Pulaski County Extension Office. Beth Phelps, County Extension Agent, is also available to present educational programs to groups and organizations.

4-H

4-H is an informal, practical, learn-by-doing educational program for boys and girls between the ages of 5-19 from all racial, cultural, economic and social backgrounds. 4-H is one of three educational programs of the Cooperative Extension Service, University of Arkansas, involving youth and adults. It is a family-community effort supplementing and complementing the mission of home, church and school for the development of youth.

Families

Families are important to the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.  The Family and Consumer Science team help provide educational opportunities dedicated to strengthening, extending resources and improving diet, nutrition and health of Pulaski County families.

Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program

The Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program teaches healthy nutrition and food budgeting to young families with children. Each program assistant teaches a minimum of sixty families.
