Recommended Chemicals for Weed and Brush Control - MP44

Should the registration of a herbicide or certain uses of a herbicide be cancelled by federal or state agencies, recommendations thus affected herein are no longer applicable after such action is taken. For herbicides such as MSMA, 2,4-D, diuron, etc. where several manufacturers and formulations exist, not all formulations may be labeled for the same uses. Use only a herbicide which has the intended use on the label. Use of products and trade names in this handbook does not constitute a guarantee or warranty of the products named and does not signify that these products are approved to the exclusion of comparable products. Some tank mix treatments are listed “grower’s risk.” This indicates the two herbicides are not labeled for the tank mix, but research has shown them to be effective. To tank mix is not a violation of law, but it is done at the grower’s own risk.

This presentation is inherently visual in nature and cannot be effectively communicated in a non-visual manner. With the passing of the federal law Section 508 and the Arkansas Information Technology Access for the Blind Law (Act 1227 of 1999) it has become imperative that all agencies be compliant with these laws.
