Introduction

This compilation of basic information on aquaculture species was begun in the graduate class Advanced Aquaculture in 1999. It was a class project and the authors were Praveen Kesavannair, Maurice Jackson, Josh Reilly, Diego Valderrama, Scott Synder, and Luke Iwanowicz. Additions have been made from the 2001 Advanced Aquaculture class and the authors have added their respective names to their synopsis.

The purpose of the compilation is to make a large amount of information readily accessible. In the interest of reducing time in downloading, no pictures are included. All aquatic organisms cultured are considered, from microorganisms. The listing follows no pattern and thus reference should be made to the index when searching for a specific organism. Errors may exist and will be corrected as found. Comments are solicted.
