DISTRIBUTION:

Originally from India.

HABITS:

The zebra danio is cheap and easy to keep.

SPAWNING:

These fish are relatively easy to breed. Spawning occurs at 26C.

GROWTH:

Baby danios grow quickly and reach maturity at 8 months.

USES:

These are strictly ornamental fish.

CULTURE:

Feed with normal vegetable flakes or live foods. Keep some finely leaved plants in the tank. Temperature range: 18-25C. Potential size: 6cm. PH 6.5-7.2.
