DISTRIBUTION:
Clown fish are tropical reef fish. HABITS: They have a close relationship with the sea anenome. SPAWNING: Clownfish take 2-3 hours to lay their eggs. Spawning will repeat at intervals of 12 to 18 days. The eggs hatch in 6 – 15 days depending on temperature. GROWTH: Clownfish are slow growers. USES: These are strictly ornamental. CULTURE: Clownfish have a larval stage and must be fed live food (green algae then rotifers). They must be fed rotifers the first three weeks. Metamorphosis occurs over the first ten days of life.
