Government Contracting Course offered
MALVERN, Ark. - The Government Contracting Course, a 30-hour accredited
education opportunity offered at the Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center, or
APAC, in Malvern, begins its summer session on Tuesday, July 1.
For course information and registration, go to:
www.arcommunities.org/APAC/education.htm.
"Anyone who wants a thorough grounding in selling to public agencies will
find this course very beneficial," says Sue Coates, APAC director. "It’s
especially suited for those who want to apply for large complex multiple award
contracts such as the GSA Schedules or the Corps of Engineers indefinite
delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts."
Coates said students will learn how to prepare the proposal and, when it is
ready to submit, those who have attended all the class sessions and completed
all the assignments will earn three Continuing Education Units.
The class meets one day a week for four of the five Tuesdays in July. The
middle week is a recess while the instructor is out of town attending three
events. A tuition fee of $250 is charged for two people from the same company
who attend, which includes individual coaching to finalize the proposal after
the classes end and continuing assistance at no charge.
The Arkansas Procurement Assistance Center is a Community and Economic
Development Program of the Cooperative Extension Service, which is a part of the
U of A Division of Agriculture. Additional information is available online at
www.arcommunities.org/apac.htm or by phone at (501) 337-5355 or by e-mail at
