Cultivate your wild side at February workshop
MORRILTON, Ark. - Private landowners can learn more about wildlife at a Quail
and Songbird Habitat workshop February 1-2 at the University of Arkansas
System's Winthrop Rockefeller Institute on Petit Jean Mountain.
The workshop is geared to training private landowners about the needs of
quail and songbirds, beneficial land management practices and state and federal
resource programs available for land assessment and habitat establishment or
restoration.
The workshop is being conducted in cooperation with U of A Cooperative
Extension Service, Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, Arkansas Forestry
Commission, U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Natural Resources Conservation
Service, The Nature Conservancy, Quail Unlimited and Audubon Arkansas.
Overnight lodging is available at the institute from a single room to
fully-furnished houses. Reservations for overnight lodging are available by
going to www.wrcenter.net and selecting Quail and Songbird Habitat Workshop or
by calling (501) 727-5435.
The Cooperative Extension Service is part of the U of A Division of
