Dena Childs receives extension’s top early career award
FERNDALE, Ark. - Dena Childs of Pine Bluff, extension personnel assistant
with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture, received the Early
Career Award - Classified Employee and $1,000 Tuesday, April 15 at the C. A.
Vines Arkansas 4-H Center.
The award is presented by the Cooperative Extension Service to the employee
who has demonstrated outstanding skills in his or her job in the first five
years of their employment.
Donna Rothberg, director of Human Resources, said Childs, who has been with
the extension service since August 2005, is a "self-motivated professional who
represents the extension service well at all times. She projects stability,
authority, congeniality and a positive work ethic. Her oral and written skills
are excellent, and she is intuitively able to build rapport with clients and
quickly resolve their concerns."
The Cooperative Extension Service is part of the U of A Division of
Agriculture.
