Monroe County
Agriculture Program
Soybean Production

Soybeans have always been planted on more acres than any other crop in Monroe County. In 2007, 95,000 acres of soybeans were planted in the county. With much better prices going into the 2008 crop year, acreage for soybeans should be up in Monroe County, but will probably not come close to the record 155,000 acres planted in 1979.

Below, you will find links to websites and publications from the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, that provide recommendations and other helpful information for growing soybeans in Arkansas.
