County Impact Statements - Marion County
The tragedies of September 11, 2001, captured the attention of the nation and
touched each of our lives. These events caused each of us to take pause and
reflect on our past, our present, and our future.
We all know that education is the path to greater understanding and more
effective planning for the future. The Cooperative Extension Service has long
established a reputation for addressing educational needs of today and providing
educational programs that look beyond tomorrow.
Annually, The County Extension Council and county Extension staff review our
accomplishments and make revisions as needed to address new challenges. This
past year we have worked with our County Extension Council to provide programs
and services that resulted in improved economic opportunities and quality of
life for Marion County Residents.
The county Extension program involves people in a variety of ways; as program
participants, volunteer leaders, committee members, resource people, financial
supporters and advocates. We encourage you to become involved in our programs.
We welcome your input and interest in providing a service that meets the needs
