About Us
County Impact Statements - Hot Spring County
County Extension Homemakers Have a Long History of Education,
Leadership and Community Service
The Hot Spring County Extension Homemaker Council has five clubs with 54
members. Those members are actively involved in the county and have donated over
5,000 hours of service this year.
Their mission is to help individuals and families improve their quality of
living through continuing education, leadership development and community
involvement. The program emphasizes education related to family and community,
leadership development training and community service.
Some of their projects were:
- Volunteered 5,000 hours service at community service and EHC
Activities.
- 30 Turbans for American Cancer Society.
- 60 lap quilts to nursing home patients.
- $200.00 in school supplies for Department of Human Services
foster children.
- Drapes and household items to Smith House.
- $250.00 Single Parent Scholarship Fund.
- Projects for Toys for tots and Open Door Project at Jones Mill.
