Your Legacy

Leaving a personal legacy is one of the strongest statements of appreciation and commitment to a vision and mission that one can make.

There are many great opportunities to leave your own personal legacy with the programs and activities supported by Cooperative Extension Service.  The Extension Service's strong heritage of helping people is a perfect place to leave your dedicate your own personal legacy.

A key way in which people are able to join this living heritage of helping others is by establishing and bequeathing a “legacy” with CES that reflects the interests you have and the future that you would like the next generation to experience. Leaving your personal legacy is a way to insure that your interests and vision for the future become a reality.

There are many ways in which one may leave a personal legacy at the Cooperative Extension Service of the Division of Agriculture. There are many instruments of donation that can be tailored to insure the values and type of legacy you wish to be maintained at CES. Typically, legacy gifts are held in endowment accounts with invested and protected principal amounts, and the revenues utilized for the programmatic purposes specified by the donor. Or a legacy may be unrestricted by the donor. A few of the giving options to set up a legacy gift are:

  • An outright gift of cash, real estate, or other real property;
  • A Will;
  • A Living Trust;
  • A Retained Life Estate arrangement;
  • A Charitable Trust;
  • Or various combinations of the above, e.g. Charitable Trust by Will, etc.;

The links below will provide you with more details on how you may leave ‘Your Legacy’ at Cooperative Extension Service in Arkansas. Also, please call the Development Office for further assistance (501.671.2079).
