Arkansas Association of LeadAR Alumni (AALA) Builders
Campaign
Established in 1992 by the Arkansas Association of LeadAR Alumni,
the intended purposes of this endowment include the following:
- Securing the future of LeadAR
- Support continuation of the educational process for
alumni
- Improve the current curriculum
- Maintain the network of trained alumni
The Arkansas Association of LeadAR Alumni (AALA) was organized in
March 1986 by the first class of alumni. The AALA provides
continuing education to its membership, acquires funds and resources
to assure the continuation of the LeadAR program in perpetuity, as
well as serves as a critical communication link among participants,
alumni and program advisors, faculty and staff.
LeadAR is an extensive, two-year life-changing program for
emerging Arkansas leaders from rural and urban communities. The
program’s goal is to increase participants’ knowledge and
understanding of the economic and social changes affecting Arkansas
through the practical application of leadership skills and
development of expertise in addressing critical problems facing
Arkansas communities.
The Arkansas Association of LeadAR Alumni (AALA) Builders
Campaign endowment has been funded through outright gifts and
pledged gifts by alumni and friends of the LeadAR Program. Pledged
gifts have been an important component in growing the AALA Builders
Campaign endowment as they have allowed donors to make more
significant gifts over a period of several years.
