County Impact Statements - Fulton County
Forage, Forage
Forage is very important to livestock producers in Fulton County. Whether you
have beef or dairy animals, the quality and quantity of the forage may mean
profit or loss when it comes to the livestock operation.
Fulton County has approximately 400,000 acres in the county with more than
700 farms, 228,000 acres in farmland and the average size of the farm is 310
acres.
With this said, it is apparent that educational meetings and tours are needed
to help producers stay on top of the changes in forage production.

Larry Sandage is one of the three speakers for the Fulton County
Production Meeting with 40 attending.
