County Impact Statements - Franklin County
Extension Homemakers - Learning, Leading, and Sharing
Extension Homemakers are people just like you. They work, shop, and sit next
to you at various activities. They like to learn everything from A to Z to
better themselves, their family, their neighbors, and their community. They are
moms, grandmothers, and retired women.
Franklin County has six clubs with 88 members. Countywide activities and
meetings provide opportunities to enhance continuing education, leadership
development, and community service. A large number of hours and cash
contributions were donated throughout the year to different organizations and
projects.
Extension Homemakers get the latest information from the Cooperative
Extension Service in the areas of nutrition and health, resource management,
strengthening families, leadership development, and community issues. Members
share the information learned with other club members, family, friends,
neighbors, and the community.
