A $1,000 scholarship is being offered by Faulkner County Master
Gardeners to assist a Faulkner County resident pursuing a
post-secondary degree in a plant-science-related field which
includes, but is not limited to, horticulture, botany, agronomy,
forestry, plant science, turf management and landscape architecture
and/or design. This represents a large increase in the dollar
amount of the scholarship, as well as a change in the rules so that
previous recipients may reapply.
Applicants can access the application
scholarship application,
complete it, and return it to the Faulkner County Master Gardener
Scholarship Committee no later than Thursday, April 3, 2008.
The Faulkner County Master Gardener Program is a part of the
University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture – Cooperative
Extension Service, which offers its programs to all eligible persons
regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, gender, age,
disability, marital or veteran status, or any other legally
protected status, and is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity
Employer.
