SOIL SECTION    

The Arkansas Envirothon has tried to place all materials available in the Arkansas Envirothon Training Guide online for your convince.   If your computer does not have the Adobe® Acrobat Reader software installed, you will need to click on the link "Get Acrobat Reader" located to the right, download and install the software.

Note: Some files are quite large.  These files may take a long amount of  time (even hours) to download.  Download times will depend on the speed that your computer is connected to the internet.  We are working to reduce the file sizes to make the time you wait as short as possible..

OVERVIEW

You should visit with your local NRCS office to obtain a copy of the soil survey for your county.  While you are there you should visit with the staff learn about Highly Erodeable Soils, how they are defined and why they are important.
