Secretarial Resources - e~Print

e~Print is a product that we use to move reports written in Banner to the web. There are four repositories on our e~Print site, Daily Reporting, Month End Reports, HR and Archived Finance. The HR repository is reserved for future use. The other three provide valuable information that departments can use to manage budgets, giving year-to-date information on your management and operations, indirects, carryover and grant funds budgets. Note: Foundation funds are managed out of the Division of Agriculture office in Fayetteville and are not part of the e~Print reporting structure.

Daily Reporting - This repository is updated several times per day and gives the most up-to-the-minute details on the expenses and revenues posted to your budget. These reports become very valuable as you are nearing the end of fiscal year or end of a grant year.

Month End Reports - The reports for this repository are loaded once each month after the books for that month are closed. They give you a final snapshot of the activity that occurred in a particular month.

Archived Finance - Once the fiscal year is closed, the reports for that year are loaded to Archived Finance. These reports give you historical data to which you can compare your current budget to see how much, more or less, has been spent at a particular time in the year. It's useful when preparing for the budget hearings for the next fiscal year and can highlight those expense that don't always occur on an annual basis.

Each report loaded to the e~Print repositories has been provided in both PDF and text. Most often, you will want to view the PDF version as it is easiest to print. The text version is handy if you need to save the file to your desktop and load the values to a spreadsheet [you will need to import the file into Excel as having fixed length fields].

The drill icon that appears to the right of each report link will take you to previous copies of the reports. This is most helpful if you want to compare two month end reports.

To access your e~Print reports, you must have received authorization from Financial Services. Use your Banner ID and password to access the reports at http://eprint.uaex.edu. Before selecting Enter, verify the repository being selected is the one you really want.

Financial Services has provided answers to some frequently asked questions about e~Print. Go to http://www.uaex.edu/depts/financial_services/budget/eprint.htm  for more information.
