The one-stop shop for all your recycling information

White paper:  

Paper may include staples and may be shredded. No paper ream wrappers, no envelopes. Paper collection bins are located in the office areas near copy machines.

Pastel paper:

No bright colors such as red, goldenrod, bright green, or fluorescent. No construction paper, no envelopes. Paper may include staples. Paper collection bins are located in the office areas near copy machines.

Corrugated cardboard boxes:

Boxes should be flattened and taken to the Print Shop for recycling.

Magazines and periodicals:

May be taken to the Print Shop for recycling

Aluminum cans:

Empty drink cans are recycled in bins located in the break area, in classrooms 1 & 2, on the stairwells on the second floor, under the back stairs on the first floor, and in the lab on the third floor.

Plastic bottles:

Empty plastic soda and water bottles are recycled in bins located in the break area, in classrooms 1 & 2, on the stairwell on the second floor, under the back stairs on the first floor, and in the lab on the third floor.

NO plastic jugs with handles, such as milk and juice jugs, in the recycling bins, please.

Printer cartridge/LaserJet toners:

Return in cartridge/toner box to the warehouse for recycling.

Ink Jet Cartridges

There are 2 options

  • send old ink jet cartridges to the warehouse
  • order a box(s) for collection in your department or section

Free pre-paid postage ink jet recycling boxes can be ordered from:

Rechargeable batteries:

Should be taken to the warehouse for collection and recycling—we participate in the Recyclable Battery Corporation’s Business (RBRC) Recycling Program.

Cell phones:

May be taken to the warehouse—they can be recycled through the RBRC program or sent to through the state’s Marketing & Redistribution program.

Electronics:

Recycled through the state’s Marketing & Redistribution program
