Online Requisitions Start-Up
First Log-In Steps
Prior to logging in to Banner WebForms for the first time, you will need to
install a plug-in file to run the program. This only needs to be done on your
first login. Follow these steps to install the plug-in:
- Insert the County Resource CD
- Select Start, select Run, select Browse
- Navigate to the directory for your CD drive by clicking the arrow on the
drop-down box beside Look in:
- Open the WebForms folder
- Select on the jinit.exe file, select Open, select OK
- When the installation process begins, select OK, Next, Next, OK
at the prompts
Once the plug-in has been installed, you may then open WebForms in either
Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator as indicated below in Logging On.
Logging On
Open your web browser (either Internet Explorer or Netscape) and enter the
following URL:
http://webforms.uaex.edu/. If you see this message: “exception: Connection
Refused” make sure you typed a / at the end of the URL. When the Logon box
appears, enter your Banner ID and password. On the Database line enter
edison_aces. Click OK in the bottom, right portion of the screen. If you have
forgotten your Username or password, contact Steve Rea in the Information Technology department.
Changing your Password (Exhibit 1)
The first time you login to Banner WebForms you will need to change your
password. Also, you will be required to change your Banner password every six
month.
- In the Direct Access box, enter GUAPSWD. Press Enter
- Enter your current password.
- Enter your new password (can not be one you have previously used)
- Re-enter your new password to verify
- Select Save

- Select Exit

Creating a Personal Directory
You can add the forms you use frequently for requisitions in a Personal Menu.
This will group the forms in one list to make them easier to find.
- In the Direct Access box, enter GUTPMNU. Press Enter
- Click on the drop-down box in the top, right section of the form

- Select BPOWELL from the list
- A list of commonly used forms should appear on the right side of the
form
- Click the copy button

- Find and click on your username in the left-hand column menu
- Click the Copy to User Button

- A message will appear - The menu was copied successfully to the user.
- Click Exit

To view the menu, click on Personal menu in the yellow highlighted portion
of the main form (Exhibit 3). Each form included in your personal menu will
appear on the right side. To access a form, you can either click on it in
the menu or type the name (FPAREQN, etc.) in the Direct Access block.
