Who We Are
The Animal Science Section assists agents, agricultural industry and
producers in the following areas:
- Beef Cattle
- Dairy Cattle
- Forage Production/Management
- Goats
- Horses
- Market News
- Sheep
- Swine
The Animal Science Section supports county Extension programs by assisting
with the development, implementation and evaluation of livestock and forage
educational efforts and activities. These activities may include demonstration
farms, county programs, field days, news articles, newsletters, PowerPoint
presentations, publications and computer programs.
We work closely with the Department of Animal Science and agricultural
industry leaders to offer the latest in livestock and forage research programs
to the people of Arkansas.
Animal Science also works in conjunction with the USDA Agricultural Marketing
Service to provide news and data on Arkansas auctions, livestock futures,
national livestock information and other commodity information.
