The Program and Staff Development Department is committed to the advancement of authentic learning which includes:

learning that supports Extension employees in career path development;
learning that takes place in and out of the classroom; and
learning that encourages the exchange of ideas and knowledge across disciplines, departments, and geographic locations.

The P S D faculty and staff provide a range of professional development management, training and consultation services which include:

Multi-disciplinary in-service training New employee onboarding Core competency training Supervisor and leadership training Instructional design, teaching and facilitation support	Program and faculty accountability support (Arkansas Information Management System - AIMS) Program evaluation, planning and implementation Strategic planning and program development Online course administration and user support (Moodle platform) In-Service training system administration
