Burning a CD with Windows XP
Susan James

1. Place a blank CD in the CD-RW drive (usually drive E and the bottom

drive). A box may come up (CD Drive E) folder (open writable CD folder using Windows Explorer). Click OK.

2. In Windows Explorer (Start, Programs, Accessories, Windows Explorer) locate your file(s) and highlight it. Click on Edit and Copy.

3. Go to your RW Drive (usually Drive E) and click on Edit and Paste.

4. After the file(s) have been pasted and you see what you want to put on the CD, right click and select write these files to CD.

5. Today’s date will appear in a small box. You can leave that or name it something. Then click on next. It will start making the CD.

6. When it stops, the CD drawer will open and then it will ask you if you want to make another CD. If not, click finish.
